Our first AI-designed product has flown the coop — and there's more to come

We've just announced that MANE — one of the world's leading flavor and fragrance houses, family-owned, more than 150 years old, with production in 41 countries — has exclusively licensed our ViaLeaf™ Reb M for the purposes of global commercialization.

This is an extremely exciting moment for both Arzeda and MANE, and you can read more in the press release here. Within all of that excitement, I want to make sure we don't lose sight of two things that I feel are very important:

First, ViaLeaf™ Reb M is the first product ever brought to market that was enabled by AI-driven protein design.

Second, We're positioned to repeat this success, faster, and more efficiently.

The same engine that designed, built, and commercialized ViaLeaf™ Reb M — Arzeda's own Intelligent Protein Design Technology™, our AI models, and fifteen years of proprietary protein design data connecting sequence, structure and real-world function — is actively driving innovation across multiple other verticals. Food ingredients, materials, agriculture, homecare, medicine and more — our positive impact on the world will be expansive. Anywhere a better protein can rewrite the cost position and performance of a product, we can now go and design one fit for that purpose.

But here's another one of the keys to our future success: over the past several years we've built the organizational muscle to not just design proteins, but to scale, manufacture, and ship it out globally — so that our products have the impact on people’s lives that we know they are capable of having.

Arzeda has always been at the tip of the spear where AI meets biology — and we're doubling down to make a bigger impact, faster. By investing in automation and agentic systems, we shorten every Design-Build-Test-Learn cycle: we produce better protein products in less time, and each cycle feeds our dataset, which in turn sharpens the AI models that drive the next cycle. It's a flywheel — and the faster it spins, the further ahead it puts us. That's a compounding advantage very few can build, and one we are uniquely positioned to leverage.

Most of all, I am incredibly proud of and grateful to the team — everyone who has worked at Arzeda, and everyone who poured themselves into ViaLeaf™ Reb M over the past several years. This milestone belongs to all of you. None of it happens without your talent, your persistence, and your belief in what we're building. And thank you to all of our customers and partners who continue to believe in us and innovate alongside us — MANE among them. We couldn't do any of this alone, and we wouldn't want to.

We're excited for what's possible because of Arzeda's innovations — delivering value to our customers, making the world healthier and more sustainable, and improving the lives of the people who use the products we help create.
